After all the wedding plans were final and the wedding was just a two weeks away. We decided that we needed a vacation. So the Johnsons and the Sparrows took a 5 day trip to Oruay CO

It was just what we needed, to rest up.

Brianna was packin in the gifts.

JoAnn & I both had sons getting married just 1 day apart. We decided it would be easiest to give our future daughter-in-laws double wedding showers. It was so much fun.

A Camping We Will Go

I was asked to go with the Young Women to Girls camp this year. I had so much fun. Papa came with. We enjoyed camp and each other. Here are a few pictures of our 4 days at camp.

While I was in Denver I took some fun video of the boys. They are groing up so fast.

While I went to North Carolina, Papa decided to go and visit Derrick, Rikki and the boys in Denver. While he was putting some dry wall texture on the downstairs bathroom, a spark ignited and a flash fire happened. Papa was burned and spent the night in CU burn center. I stopped off in Denver on my way home from North Carolina and we drove home. All is well, he has recovered beautifully and we feel very blessed that his burn are healing so quickly. Dodged another bullet. Way to go Papa.

Just three days after saying good-bye to Northridge High School kitchen for the summer. I hopped on Southwest Airlines and headed for North Carolina. My carry on was a small bag to keep me busy on the long flight and a new sewing machine for Dianna. What a wonderful week it was to spend time with the kids but most of all to get to know my Grand-daughter Clara better. What a joy she was. It was hot and humid but we weathered the heat and went for a tour around UNC. When Di and I were not out shopping we were sewing everything from burp rags to dresses. The only thing that would of made it better was if Papa had been with me. Well maybe next time.
