Christmas Time @ the Johnsons

Christmas day was just crazy at our home. We went to Darren and Brianna's home that morning for breakfast and unwrapping presents. Deb had come home to spend the holiday with us. We had so much fun. Debra is holding Raegan and wearing the "Snuggie" Charles and Di gave her for Christmas.

We came home and Deb and Papa took a four hour nap. Me I took down all the Christmas because I knew what was coming. Your not going to believe this. Well maybe you will.

We decided to demo the kitchen. Finally after three years of gray blue

walls and an island in the middle of the room it was about to be history.

Tyson McBride came over to help. Thanks Tyson we never would of made it without you.

Unbelievable and this is just the beginning Debra was a real trooper and stick it out she had to leave before I got home from California.

I took off and went to California for a week. Jen and her family were moving West and I was lucky enough to get away from the demo. I sure enjoyed my week with them.
We did run into a little snow over the Sierras but no big deal we just jumped out and slapped on the chains and took off again. It was only later that Marv informed us that we put the chains on the wrong set of tires.

Mexico Trip Part 1

Last year Byron made budget for the company that he works for.

His boss treated us to an all expense payed vacation to Puerto Vallarta.

Trust me it doesn't get much better than this.

This sign read both in Spanish and English:

It was truly a magic trip for us.

Just wanted to share a few fun things that we did.

Our hotel was perfect and the view from our room was unbelievable.

Trip to Mexico Part 2

We decided to zip line through the jungle. It was one of

those life changing experiences.

After the long boat ride in the ocean they put us in these

really old trucks and carted us up a very steep mountain.

They then put us on some very stubborn mules and we

went further into the jungle.

We're all geared up for the zip line.

Papa didn't even miss a beat. He just went for it.

Now me....I had a few issues but just did it.

Then the fun really started. They forgot

to tell me about the repelling.

Papa was out of control.

I played it a little safer.

After 7 hours of fun it was time to head back.

What a day. We will never ever forget it.

This was the best trip, on a scale of 1-10 it was a 20.

We rested, we played, we ate a lot, we got tanned.

The best part was, we did it together.

A Day with Grandma Ruby

The 4Th Ward all got together and decided to clean up Grandma Ruby's yard.

It was a beautiful day and everyone really came to work.

Some brought heavy machinery.

Some brought trailers.

Some just brought shear bruit straight.

Some brought power tools.

Some climbed on the roof.

Some just brought a smile.

Thanks everyone for the fun day.

We hit the road.......again

Last weekend Papa and I jumped on the bike and headed for Cedar City. We went to see Debra at school. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Friday night we went to the St. George Temple with Deb. It was the Temple that Papa and I had been married in 32 years ago. Then on Friday we went to Cedar Breaks and found a fun little 4 mile hike to go on.

It was just a little chilly. But on a motorcycle it was down right cold. Good thing we were prepared.

The scenery was breath taking.

But the trees were just a little bit funky.

When we got to the end of the trail we couldn't believe our eyes.

Debra headed back for home but Papa and I couldn't resist taking a little ride up the road to Brian Head ski resort. It was very very cold and windy. But worth it.

The next day we took of to go back to Layton. We ran into a little ran. Then we ran out of gas. Finally we made it home safe and sound. What a life.
